The Black Rose

After the passing of my private violin teacher, Eric Hayward, I was lost. Processing this grief lead me down a path. Not one of pain, but reconciliation of my place on that path. The seeds of Aletheia. I also wrote a Piano Trio which turned into a Piano Quartet by the same name.

During covid lockdowns. When the world is in isolation, fear, confusion, and there are no stars outside, we look elsewhere for those shimmers of hope to connect the constellations of us.


A Journey

Similar to the Black Rose, I felt like a comet floating in space, being taken on a journey toward something unknowable at the moment. But something indiscernibly familiar, rediscovering something forgotten.
